Join the Memorial University Wind Ensemble and the newly formed Newfoundland & Labrador Provincial Honour Band for Fun & Games, a concert bursting with adventure, imagination, and the spirit of play. Under the direction of former MUN Director of Bands Dr. Denise Grant, the NLPHB makes its debut alongside the MUN Wind Ensemble in a program featuring music from Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Super Mario, and works by Julie Giroux, MUN Bands 2025/2026 Composer in Residence Kenley Kristofferson, and more. From iconic game themes to sweeping cinematic soundscapes, this concert celebrates the creativity and joy of music inspired by play.
Parking:
First Light Centre for Performance & Creativity is located in the heart of Downtown St. John’s at 81 Cochrane Street, and there is no dedicated parking lot. On-street parking is available year round on Military Road and Bannerman Road, and seasonal on-street parking between April and November throughout the neighbourhood. For blue-zone pass holders, there is one accessible parking space on the ramp that leads up to the front doors.
